Has EA (ostensibly) made a Blitzball game before Square Enix could?
Wild.

It was doomed now for the reasons you have already written but, I’m going to miss it. I entered the industry in 2014 and went as often as I could. It’s a selfish reason, I know- but it was a fun show to go to. It was much like any other con in some ways, one that also just happened to have a huge external presence. It

A great read and true facts.

It is. I have no idea why, but the fact that they were “hate raiding” anyone makes me think it isn’t because they like his content.

As an example I work in the industry for a AAA publisher doing animation related work.

I recently did 26 days straight at an average of about 11 hours a day. That’s light when it comes to the sort of crunch you get into at the end of a project. I’ve done shorter stints of more time (13 - 14 hours for a week or two) and

That’s true.
I was more lamenting the fact than disagreeing with you.
It is such a crappy situation for consumers.

I definitely agree.
I don’t have either version of the PS5/XSX yet, but Disc based is still the better way to go for the foreseeable future.

The problem is there is no PS5 version.
Just the PS4 version that can be played on the PS5 with backwards compatibility.

It definitely sucks for those who were lucky enough to get one for Christmas, and now won’t be able to download it on their digital only PS5s.

I don’t believe it has ever been enough to “not be racist”, that to me is the bare minimum. That is part of the reason why all of these problems have been going on so long. Something happens and “Oh, yeah <insert racial group here> has a rough time... That sucks. Oh well, I’m doing my part. I’m not racist.”

The

I don’t mean from the view of the characters, I mean as far as the narrative goes. After all is said and done, is the OG storyline and ending just the bad ending of this set of games? The developers frame it that way by having Red XIII say: “This is what happens if we fail” and showing footage of the OG ending.

I disagree with the “Go play the original” sentiment if people are upset.

This ending can be interpreted (I’m not saying this is the 100% true) as saying that the OG story is the bad end to this new one. Yeah you can go play the original in that case, but this game would literally destroy the meta-narrative of the

During this Direct, they announced 6 more DLC characters.
Byleth is not just a “Sword character”... Maybe, just chill?

Then the post story dungeons are just continued excellence.
The music, the setting ugh, it is so good!

Thanks for this post.

As far as the missed loot pickups, I believe that Masterwork and Legendary quality loot can not be missed. If you don’t pick those up, they will appear in the end of mission loot screen.

Every time I get to a new town or area I just marvel. It is an amazing game.

This is better than I could have ever hoped DQ would look and feel back in the NES days.

There are some buried gems like the Trails series, but yeah it seems like less companies are willing to start new RPG series.

Yeah, I love every last one of those wrinkles and all. Somehow we went from all of that over 4-5 years to us getting 1 Final Fantasy every 8 years?

It was an amazing time to be a fan of JRPGs that is for damned sure.

I completely agree. This article made me think about my PSX RPG collection at the point it was stolen around 2002-ish in the order that I can remember:

Front Misson 3
Thousand Arms
Grandia
Wild Arms 2
Legend of Legaia
Legend of Dragoon
Final Fantasy 7-9 and Tactics
Valkyrie Profile
Vagrant Story
Suikoden 1-2
Star Ocean: The
