I agree with what you are saying fully about it being a disincentive. My only glimmer of hope are that OnLive did have private talks with at least Sony and Microsoft. Sony has been allowing different things on their platform like Steam integration, and Vudu.

I waiting/hoping for an OnLive app for the PS3. Xbox 360 seems VERY unlikely to me, but PS3 could conceivably happen.
