I used to play Dreamcast 4x4 Evolution online with PC users...and that was on dial-up. Damn I'm old.

The concept is a little left field, but the execution? PERFECT! Love it!

I don't know why I'm laughing so much at this!

Do these AR cards display in 3d or just 2d?

My first thought too!

Missing the money train a little bit.

I think balancing is the issue also. Having some ability to avoid it based on skill is a step in the right direction, but having it randomly/rarely fail would be interesting also. I guess it would, in the same way I counted the Zelda dungeons. Good call!

I agree that escort missions are usually handled in a game flow jarring fashion. In my mind's eye I can see the developer throwing up their hands and saying "well, we're out of ideas, just add an escort/defend mission or twelve".

That Tetris Link doesn't look all that new. There are several of these on ebay right now.

@karl_hungus: That is very interesting...so it is basically an ARG (or just similar to one) within a video game?

I kinda looks like a 'hip' logo for a new Tony Hawk game.

@gurfinki: I have another point that I would like to add about Gameloft games. I haven't played every one of thier games, but on the ones that I have, even if the concept is the same as a big profile release, the gameplay includes twists and tweeks that make the game their own.

For those that don't want to read (love her voice!).
