It’s funny that the prequels to the two most popular fantasy franchises came out at roughly the same time and both enraged racists by casting black people.

I dont think it was a homophobic act of violence, Joffrey legit gleefully brought up his greatest shame while he was still grappling with it and on the edge. Joffrey/Laenor’s mistep was that they didnt know how seriously Criston took his vows and what he was dealing with, they assumed he was on board.
I do not find the Harfoots endearing. Wish I did. I’m not sure if it’s their dialogue, the acting, or just the general hokey demeanor of it all.
I’ve said it my entire life. Fuck y’all.

So that’s y’all reacting to “spoilers” from Fire and Blood (which I haven’t read and don’t care to). I mean, it’s obvious what happened with Otto, the kid, and Mysaria, so it seems odd that they would call it a spoiler and make the assumption that I’ve read the book and not just, you know, paid attention to the…
This may sound a bit ridiculous, but in watching Rings of Power, every time there is a closeup shot of one of the elven characters, I keep getting pulled out of the action studying how natural their ears have been created. I will have to say in contrast to the white-blond wigs on House of Dragon, the ears win by a…
The dragons aren’t real! Thanks for ruining the magic
I’d love to see her review of the first Blackadder series, with scenes like Blackadder giving his ten year old wife some milk before bed.
the king seems content in his marriage (to, I will stress once again, an underage girl)
They pull out the “Mary Sue” any time a women is shown to be competent. Strangely they never level that insult against male characters.
I’m noticing the “I’m not racist and here are the racist reasons I’m racistly hating on this show” crowd is beginning to show up.
You had it white the first time.
White people Trolls are big mad.
The fact that the trolls are mad because their are black people in this show is just hilarious.
Well, all I can say is I’m glad I’m not a Tolkien fanboy, so I can enjoy the show for what it is rather than grinding my teeth and tearing my clothes apart at every perceived slight of the author’s memory.
It really disgusts me how people made fun of her mental illness and her sexual orientation in the 90s. SNL alone made her a frequent source of mockery. I’m like, “For God’s sake, this woman needs help!”
I like how you criticized his work without providing a single concrete example or detail. In the immortal words of Matt Ruff, “A strong opinion and a bad mood aren’t evidence.”
Shymalan's turds are particularly rancid, though. Lady in the Water, Last Airbender, the Village, The Happening, and After Earth are all dreadful. And most of his other movies aren't exactly great.
OK. So I’ve seen it now, unlike my previous replies, and so far I think it’s pretty good! It seems like it’s going to be hard for anyone to experience this show completely separately from their experience of the last two years, and that’s completely fair—but a lot of the reactions seem fairly harsh, especially around…
