That would explain Sauron’s red eye

The web is dark and full of terrors.

Interesting. I’d watch another season.

The best action scene in the history of television is the final scene of True Detective Season 1, Episode 4. Just gets better every time I watch it.

sometimes?

The funny thing about this whole thing: that burn on GOT was accurate.

Well sure, but it still has the problem that if they’re truly committing, then they could never safely communicate about it after they left the godswood. Which would mean no ability to adjust their plans or strategize at any point, which would be extremely risky. But, sure, they’re the protagonists, so I can let it

I’m not thrilled with the way the Arya/Sansa scheme was carried out. The show deliberately made us think that they were really at odds, in situations where they would have no reason to do so—e.g. last week’s “I WANT YOUR FACE” scene. If Arya and Sansa are scheming against Littlefinger, there’s no reason to playact

Dammit the only proper place for that link to go was this image:

I was more thinking the child would have Dany’s dragon genes and Jon’s muscly arm(s)...

I agree with your episode rating because I’m using your season rating as a baseline. Weakest moment was Theon manning-up (and winning) against a guy that could clearly kick his ass. Losing your franks and beans doesn’t mean you grow a liver of steel. That guy was twice his size and already beat him down. Theon

I don’t wanna be “that guy”, but I’m gonna be “that guy” anyway because I’m a history nerd. That stuff doesn’t happen first generation. That takes a few generations before the really bad stuff pops up.

I hate kinja with the every fiber of my being. But I like AV Club commentariat. What do?

What’s brown and sounds like a bell?

While it was both iconic and awesome (due almost entirely to Lee, Jim Kelly and, to a lesser extent, John Saxon), Robert Clouse was not exactly ... a visionary director. Also, it suffered from a fairly lackluster boss battle since Kien Shih clearly couldn’t keep up with Bruce at his age. The parody version in Kentucky

But from the trailers it looks like they’re copying L’s mannerisms just because. It’s cute when an anime character sits funny and eats candy. When it’s an actual person? Not everything translates well from anime to live action.

This new website is a disaster, especially oldest-first comments.

what, now all replies will have to be moderated??? you’re fucking kidding me

*Moody high school student kills a bunch of people*

Yeah, switching Light to a white guy just seems really out of character...

It’s nice to know that I can deliberately not watch this on Netflix. At some point the whitewashing has to stop.
