I’ve read that in France routine aftercare to a pregnancy is therapy for your pelvic areas. You get visits from specialists who can evaluate your condition, and prescribe treatments and exercises and work with you to get back in shape. The goal is both continence and restored sexual pleasure.

I lived in Germany in the late 1980’s and parked in the “Frauen” areas a few times. They only existed in large public lots or garages, and it seems to me that they amounted to nowhere near a third of the spaces available, I’d have guessed about 10%. Perhaps the rules have changed since then. I did appreciate them,

I was born in 1950 and just about every girl in my Catholic elementary school class had the middle name Marie. Among Catholics it’s been going on a long time.

Yeah. Another article said he got $32 for 20 lb of brass in one trip to the recycle center. It must have been $36 - $40 per trip, not per piece.

Except that here, mother does practically nothing. She hands the babies off to her daughters to raise as soon as they are weaned.
