I watched this when it was on TV as a kid. The Solider and Death is by far one of the best things Jim Henson did. I still sometimes think about it. 

Ancient Egypt, but not the real historical one (although that would be cool) but one based on all the movies like “The Ten Commandments,” plus Yule Brynner as Ramses II.
