Yep. A slideshow filled with backlit silhouettes. Such fail.

Click-bait much?

That’s not painted

it becomes jalop once its lost half its value (at least)

Idk, that sounds more like autoblog.

jalopnik was always about older (but not classic) cars (just look at all the rusty cherokee content or NP or {i forgot the new name} )

sure there’s the skaybait and the supercar drool that was the exception, not the rule

We’re still here. 2 things can be true at the same time. We can be horrified that cars are this expensive AND we can love the fun ones.

When you roll over negative equity, the loan amount goes up and the payments go up over the same term length. Thats probably how we got to 96mo. Next we’ll have 108mo, then 120mo which is really just a really shitty mortgage.

At some point this just isn't sustainable right? I'm pretty comfortable from a salary perspective and about died paying 30k for a car, what the hell are people thinking.

I was less horrified by the events yesterday and more by the vast numbers of people that apparently didn’t see it coming. (And also the lack of appropriate response. Those morons should have been gassed before breaching the Capitol.)

RE: dick root dude pic. As a 40 year old man, I could not imagine being a fuckin’ adult dressed like that in pictures with a literal teenager. I’m both horrified and embarrassed for anyone involved with that so called church.

I saw a viral tweet a while ago that said something like “If your car isn’t a 2019 or newer don’t even talk to me.” That’s a not-insignificant segment of the population too, and a lot of them couldn’t get approved on a stick of gum yet will go get a Mitsubishi or FCA product and get approved on that for 84 months.

I’d take Tesla + stronger right to repair laws over the dealer network

The job of HR is to protect the company not to make employees happy.

To those being bullied, harassed, or worse, here is some free advice: In most cases, HR exists to protect the company from it’s employees, not the other way ‘round. If you feel the need to approach HR with an issue and you don’t have an alternative, you may want to consult with a legal advisor first.

Somehow people believe HR is there to help them. NO. HR is there for ONE REASON. That is to work for the agency (or corporate). They’re there to prevent you from harming them. PERIOD. So be careful what you say to HR. They’re not on your side.

I agree 1000% about HR. The only function of HR is to prevent the company getting sued. That’s it. They are entirely there to protect the company.

HR isn’t there to help you, there are there to protect the companies’ bottom line.

Seconding the comment about contacting HR. There was a bully at my office. He would regularly harass staff members, insult them (oh, can’t you take a joke?), spout racist/homophobic/sexist “facts”, and (when I turned in my two week notice) threatened to kill me for being a traitor (in front of other coworkers, even).

Take a stand, if possible on their inflated egotistical heads.
