Bill Morneau fucking sucked. I don’t understand why Trudeau held onto him for so long

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve long believed that if you are an elected official (or high ranking government official) you should not be able to buy, sell, or hold individual stocks for the entire time you are in that position, nor should you be able to actively own or run a business of any appreciable size. If you want

A friend of mine who is in his late 50's and has always loved HD’s also bought a Kawasaki instead because the prices for Harley’s were just so insane he couldn’t justify it. He’s had his Kawasaki for a few years now and absolutely loves it. Don’t think he’ll ever bother getting a HD now.

It’s really starting to feel like Harley’s new leadership is intentionally tanking the brand so they can strip it for parts. Doubling down on a failing strategy of selling overpriced bikes to a group of people that is literally dying off is insane. I don’t know anyone under like 45 who would ever consider owning one

I try to not be a content complainer on this site because I find it tiresome and often unwarranted, but this is a terrible and click bait-y article that everyone hates. Please, no more stuff like this. Jalopnik has been my favourite website for years, but garbage like this makes me want to look elsewhere.

I feel like when someone is famous for absolutely no good reason at all, as is the case here, attention is basically their life blood. Without constant attention, they essentially cease to exist as public figures. One of the many reasons I cannot stand this new generation of ‘stars’ that exist just because of TikTok

This is exactly what I’ve wanted for so long. I really hope it ends up being a lot like this.

That’s certainly part of it, but it isn’t all of it. Some people take super long loans out of stupidity, but a lot take them because they have little other choice.

The problem is that you can’t just keep rolling it over forever; eventually the negative equity catches up to you and the bank says no, and now Jim-Bob is stuck for 8 years paying off a $150,000 loan on a truck that is worth $40,000. which is the real problem I allude to. If it were just Jim-Bob, it wouldn’t be a big

Income inequality + predatory dealer practices + cheap money. The rich are the only ones who can afford the ever more expensive new cars, so cheap interest rates and super long terms are the only way to get middle income/working class people into them. But because of the super long terms, it allows them to buy a car

I have to agree with what most everyone else is saying, HR is almost never to be trusted and should only be used as a last resort. Even with sexual harassment, HR has only become somewhat useful recently because of the MeToo movement. We all heard countless stories from that movement that involved HR sweeping things

I foolishly stuck with AA’s on my now 7-year old Xbox One and the first thing I’ll be doing when I eventually get a Series X/S is to get a rechargeable battery for the controller. The amount of AA’s they chew through is just stupid

Exactly. In my experience selling vehicles, most people who buy 3-row SUV’s have little actual use for the third row and could quite frankly get by with a 2-row just fine. They just convince themselves they need it and then use it maybe once or twice a year for a quick jaunt at most. If you actually have a regular

Mine are the same way. With this whole dumb controversy I saw lots of people mentioning how cans all have pull tabs, but I just got back from the grocery store and I think maybe one out of the fifteen cans I bought has one. The rest all need an opener

I have completed a great many house chores and repairs thanks to YouTube how-to videos. They really can be a God-send

I feel sort of the same way. As a youth I always liked supercars, but as I get older and they get more and more expensive, exclusive, and quite literally impossible to get your hands on even if you had the obscene amount of money to buy one new, I’ve started finding them kinda boring. Many are very ugly (see

It’s honestly nuts. I think that’s why they haven’t sold all that well here so far despite how popular Tacoma’s and other mid-sizers are. It’s just way too much for a truck that, relatively speaking, isn’t that capable. There’s just no reason a mid-size should cost the same or more than a full size.

This thing is going to be over $100,000 in Canada, and yet I’m sure there will be a waiting list of people ready to finance it for 96 months with $0 down so they can flex on their friends before writing it off two weeks later.

The prices that some shit sells for on BaT continues to blow my mind. It just makes no sense sometimes.

Having worked in dealerships, people just like boring colours. Part of it is likely that most manufactures offer like 90% neutral colours and 10% interesting ones, but even if manufactures offered a wider arrange of colours I think you would still see largely the same breakdown. The neutral colours always sold faster
