Oh, and for those who theorize that Trump does this shit to distract from other awful things going on (which I don’t believe in because during his Presidency it’s all awful shit all the time)

... and what’s worse is that his administration defends all of it as “fighting fire with fire!” or “hitting back harder!” as if responding to petty insults is part of the President’s fucking job.

I’m sorry, but Obama wore a tan suit to a press briefing. And at one point he put his feet on a desk.

I really miss Obama and how much dignity and grace he and Michelle had when they were insulted. Frankly, they had some horrific and awful things said about them.

According to his current wife it’s ok to beat up woman and according to his daughter who is not a political adviser but works at a white house he is a feminist, we live in at a great times.

That Brian Stelter tweet is exactly what I was looking for; proof that, as suspected, Donald Trump just completely made the whole thing up. The man is unhinged.

Trump is a scumbag. Period. He might be the worst person who ever lived. That this will inevitably be turned into some left/right tit-for-tat is the clearest demonstration of the fact that his country is not worth saving.

They’ll deny the protesters were really disabled, and assume it was all a big staged protest, with participants paid for by The Left.

The optics of pulling people from their wheelchairs is simply staggering in its awfulness. Yet Trump supporters (who will undoubtedly be affected in large numbers) will put on their stupid MAGA hats and cheer Donnnie on, while he simultaneously pushes their heads deeper into a shit-filled trench.

On Sunday, NBC will air Megyn Kelly’s interview with noted conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who believes with certainty that the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 was a government hoax.

She won’t make him look like an idiot. Everyone needs a voice now. Even unhinged Nazis. You don’t want to risk alienating the moderate Nazis.

I mean, this seems like common goddamn sense. What did she think was gonna happen? Is everyone a fucking idiot now? Am I an idiot? Are we all idiots? Is this life?

I mean she did do a bunch of good work (she helmed a whole sketch comedy show as a kid) and had a fairly short mental health crisis (compared to other performers) and didn’t harm anyone. There are plenty of performers who did worse stuff with less talent too.

And let’s also add that it’s very different to have a set of expectations to follow as a teacher. When you’re the teacher, you are the professional and in a position of power. You should dress like it’s your job (because it is). I don’t love how the OP decided that because they’re the teacher and have to dress a

I went to schools with uniforms from K-12. No regrets. There was still plenty of room for self-expression - we had a lot more latitude in choosing shoes, hairstyles, bookbags, etc. We could wear pants or skirts, sweaters or sweatshirts, tights or not. I’m sure it was easier on our parents, too.

School is not a job if you’re a student.

You are not exaggerating.

I know people wil say I’m exaggerating, but it’s my firm belief that it’s this kind of thing that lay the grounds for normalizing victim-blaming in rape.

True story: One of my friends from college told me one of his most vivid memories of middle school was the time he got a raging boner because of the way the girl he had a crush on was breathing. It was making her boobs go up and down.
