As soon as it started I was struck by goddamn, what a brilliant idea to combine haunted house tropes with the actual horrors that middle class Black people faced trying to move into white neighborhoods. This actual history is so bloody (Trumbull was referenced and that violence was all over, like sundown towns. They ca

Drat, I almost had an excuse to post the “Period Sex” song from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but it turned out Letitia was fibbing to hide that she was a virgin.

Random observations: If those children’s ouija board was not lying then George is haunting that house too?

BY THE POWER OF BLACK TWITTER,,,

I am so SICK of Joan’s snark. I don’t care for Katy Perry but the way they shared their pictures was a really beautiful, impactful choice. The world is so bleak, can’t we celebrate the tiny moments of grace?

yeah... Joan always takes the snark 5 steps too far (to the point where I’m confused - why opt to be the celebrity writer if you think you’re too good for celebrity news and think celebrities straight up suck no matter what?)

As a dude who witnessed first hand the “medical horror stories” of the four pregnancies and two births my wife experienced (two miscarriages), I agree with you 100%.  Raising awareness to this issue is warranted, and if the birth of Daisy Bloom helps push the narrative in a positive way, I’m for it.

It seems snark is all that Joan has anymore.

I’m actually impressed? I expected a cutesy insta announcement whenever baby Daisy arrived, but I did not anticipate a charitable foundation with Unicef. That’s pretty cool of them.

Are you all still clapping?

Gigi and Bella are both reported by everyone who meets them to be insanely down to earth considering who they are, and the Jezebel gossip column is always a bit mad they aren’t being entitled rich brats

Me too. This season they’re especially coming off just really...outdated? I don’t love Leah, but she serves as a strong juxtaposition to Sonja and Ramona. The generational divides are huge and hilarious.

They’re really nice, tasteful and arty. I also really love the sheer bell-shaped dress. I want one.

Gigi’s apartment is pretty fun though.  I love the crazy couch.  I don’t love the insane “pasta-facade drawers” but I love that she loves them because they are so fucking weird.

Her hair is crimped - it’s an intentional style.  She’s not my favorite, but I think these photos are beautiful.

I wish they’d just start over on RHONYC. I’m so over Ramona, Dorina, and Sonja and their drinking and parties and complaints and inability to see beyond their hypocrisy and ridiculous lifestyle priorities. LuAnn went through some personal stuff, but she’s back to being annoying and not adding much of anything. Let’s

“Joan is funny”

My therapist wants me to try out “letting people have their things,” so I will keep my thoughts about The Office—or Garner’s prominent Dunder Mifflin wall art—to myself.

I’m sitting here surrounded by wildfires caused by climate change and, while I am (sincerely) not judging, I cannot help but be bewildered that people still wish to bring children into the world. I mean, how long do we have, really?

I stand by my theory that most people living in NYC have some sort of mutant form of Stockholm Syndrome.
