Quitting my job might bring peace to my soul, but I would also have no money.

Another day, another misleading headline. It actually would be a big deal if she said “ACAB” instead of the much more mild criticism that she gave them for not wearing masks.
The first time I went to get tested for Covid, at a CityMD under the Fordham Rd. 4 stop, there were two cops handing out masks at the bottom of the stairs. One was wearing her mask appropriately, and the other just... was not.
Cops not wearing masks in NYC is a real problem! I see it often. Even on the subway, they will come on and not put on a mask.
One exception would be him ripping out pages of the book Amber Heard was reading on the set of Aquaman. Destroying a book like that is decidedly not sexy.
That Amanda Seales article is is kinda’ bonkers.
Maddie Ziegler is still like 10 in my mind so her apologizing for racist posts when she was younger is hurting my brain.
When you’re still trying to make a comeback from your own shitty behavior, maybe you need to sit some of these discussions out.
I didn’t see it as a total evisceration so much as side-eye/skepticism. I’m Canadian (like Reynolds) and I can’t imagine ever getting married on a plantation (but then I hated Gone with the Wind even as a kid).
Seemed odd. This wasn’t the standard half-assed apology “I’ll do better in the future yadda yadda please forget about this by the next news cycle.” They donated millions to some really good causes. They were dumb to do it in the first place, but this is about as sincere of an apology as you can get?
I am not sure why so many people are claiming this could be interpreted as a conservative cartoon making fun of BLM and people who wear masks. It’s very clear from the facial expressions with whom you’re supposed to sympathize, and it ain’t the white anti-masker.
Really? I read it immediately as making fun of white people who minimize the problems black people face (and are the majority of supporters for the anti-science GOP).
Your lack of comprehension and sensitivity underscores the artist’s point.
It reads as a jab at dumbass white ladies to me, and how they will try to run other people’s lives
She has also been shitty with some guests she’s had, namely Hasan Minhaj, at that point he had repeatedly spoken about the way his name was mispronounced, but she didn't care about it, and of course the infamous interview with Dakota Johnson.
Well, of course Ellen was nice to you, Katy Perry, for you are ALSO rich and famous. She doesn’t give two nutty turds about the poors and/or unknowns, especially if they work for her, because she thinks she owns them.
I understand why plantation weddings are bad but it’s so weird to look at the few celebrities who genuinely put their money and time where their mouth is and eviscerate them over something they have already apologized for. Why was the author easier on Katy Perry than Reynolds and Lively? Because you’re used to her…
What an ugly take. I have had to take a similar position and became the guardian of one of my parents. Depending on their health and their wealth, it is basically a fulltime job. I regret not negotiating my compensation for it. I constantly get criticised for my decisions, cannot work full time, and do not get any…
Agreed. For some people conservatorship is a godsend, and at least from out here, to me, it seems to be what saved Britney. Not that you’re making this point—I don’t want to put words in your mouth...but I’ve always found he #FreeBritney movement to be absolutely silly. Does anyone remember Britney in 2007? The poor…
Look, mental health is impossible to assess from the outside, and there’s no way anyone not part of Spears’ inner circle can really know what’s going on there. That said, if I kept my 38-year-old pop star daughter locked away “for her own good,” I’d probably deny it, too!
