Exactly

We see who is in feelings and who is merely making a statement. Continue dick riding. That bye felicia line was cute tho!

An athlete’s game is so much of their identity. Kwame Brown is and always will be known as a basketball player first. They’re insulting his abilities because of things outside of his control (his draft order, his hype, his proximity to MJ). I’m not saying he’s only a basketball player, but I’m saying it probably makes

yeah, my phrasing could have been better lol I mean players who failed to live up to the hype, a la Lonzo Ball (there is probably more examples), should have made people forget about Kwame by now. But because he’s like the proverbial butt of the joke, and the jokes are said aforementioned low-hanging-fruit, I get his

My thing is, why would they think Kwame Brown would react positively to the shit they said? Kwame did have a point, Jackson wants to be so pro black but shitting on Kwame for no reason, And when he said that part about this isn’t about basketball anymore, they are all retired.

Man they trashed that dude, he took it where it was supposed to go.

I don’t know why Matt Barnes is even allowed to talk.
Forget about the fact that he was so useless that JR Smith has one more chip over him just by being the better bench warmer....
He is a wife beater. And when separated, he traveled miles just to do it again and fight an nba coach.
He needs to be on EVERYONE’S good

Yeah that’s all a bunch of nonsense.

ehhh idk. Everyone has a limit. Kwame Brown should have long been forgotten with the Lonzo Balls of the world, but assholes like Gilbert Arenas and bitchass Matt Barnes keep taking the low hanging fruit.

I would think that the people who should understand him the best are other players, because they all put in crazy amounts of work and sacrifice. A scrub like Matt Barnes (nearly same career stats as Kwame) should understand how it feels to be one of the worst in the league and empathize how much worse it must be for

You really can’t be pro- or neutral about Symone Sanders then type an intimation that she would be akin to Spicer in the same sentence. Just say you don’t like her but ‘abject embarrassment’ and her name don’t belong together.

Of course Ms. Sanders had a right to feel slighted. Not because she helped protect the candidate from the protester but because she was very, very well-qualified. I loved her on NPR.

I lost forgot the password to my account years ago, and this comment was so perfect it forced me to figure out my login again just to say so

I am open to the possibility that the whopper was not thrown, but instead became briefly sentient and reflexively violently hurled itself away from that hideous mug.

but all we know is that she was upset because the tomato on her burger was too thick,

Can you imagine having to go to work and have this throw a Whopper at you?

I have sooo much respect for Henry Louis Gates Jr. I’m am honored to learn his teachings. His show is sooo moving to me. Nothing like knowing where you came from to make it clearer to see where you’re headed! And I’m soupped he created The Root. We needed this!

That’s a very cool, but also heartbreaking, story.

My sister began tracing our ancestry back in 2008. We were able to trace our roots all the way back to 1852, when our foreparents were brought to Alabama as slaves from Virginia and South Carolina. It’s interesting to “shake the tree” and see who falls out.

My great-grandmother (GG) born in Georgia in 1909. She was very tall, fair haired and skinned with light green eyes and was “passing”.
