The 7th generation of gaming began with the Nintendo DS. Does that mean the 8th generation has begun with the 3DS? I'm aware that it's completely new hardware, it's just that most people seem to keep talking about it as though it's just another iteration of the DS. So now the 8th generation of games has begun, right?

@Sumada: Yes, but Nintendo themselves do different, other IPs. Yes, the other IP's sequels follows their predecessor's formulas, but Nintendo's not like Zynga by the fact that all their IP's have the same gameplay with barely any changes.

If only Zynga made real games instead of rehashing a concept several times to the point where every game is essentially the same...

This is what the PSP does well. I'm still confused at why there's barely any 2D games on there. I'd like to see a Zelda clone with nice renderings. Alundra 3 plz.

I wouldn't pay. Considering Nintendo's rumored at a free 3G thing like Amazon does, perhaps we'll see it in the last iteration of the 3DS, or the 3DS's true successor?
