Even better (and a hint of their eventual greatness): both of them worked on a Tiny Toons episode that not only spoofed Batman, but said episode contained numerous references that demonstrated that they were very familiar with the Batman comics (and not just the Adam West TV series and Tim Burton movie).

Wishful thinking: A third season of Gotham that, instead of the crap that the show's been giving us, has Thomas Wayne fighting crime as Batman.

That and making Barry all angsty for the sake of drama (to the point where the show is already doing their take of Flashpoint).
