Preacher is on.
Mr. Robot returns in just a couple weeks.
The X-Files and Twin Peaks are both available on Netflix.
You have choices here, is what I'm saying.

Ten years? Try fifty. Or more. Do a search on "Southern Strategy" and/or "Lee Atwater."
The GOP has sown this shit for two generations, and now, at last, they reap. Fuck 'em.

Those weren't the real—never mind, wrong thread.

I'm setting my DVR as we speak.

If they find out about the purloined access code, that will lead them directly to Don.
Take a moment to congratulate this actor, whose name I have not even looked for. He breaks my heart every time he is onscreen.

Everything Keri Russell does onscreen is on purpose. I love her to pieces, especially in this show.

Maybe Gorbachev.

Lots of reasons, most of them unsexy: Terrorist orgs don't have the know-how or the resources to develop/store/deploy bioweapons. Established governments have explored and rejected bioweapons as being tactically un-viable. Even the really grody, super-fatal diseases don't spread well enough/quickly enough to have

AW FUCK why'd you have to remind me of that shitshow?!

It surprises me that the writers didn't also reference the anthrax leak of 1979:

It would have served to really bolster Oleg's remark that the USSR just doesn't have the resources/infrastructure to handle these horribly dangerous bioartifacts.
Of course, the Soviet government denied the shit

Not enough passive voice in that. It should be: "I'm sorry if some people were offended…"

"It’s trying to find a way to…make [Ennis's] work less caustically misanthropic."
I haven't watched it yet, but if these words are true it is a grave mistake.
I've had misgivings about this project since I first heard about it. I consider all the talent involved to be quality people, but this material is just not

I spent 20+ years alternately devouring, re-reading, anticipating the next book, devouring, etc.
I cannot be subjective enough to tell anyone which of the books are good or bad. I was so caught up in the odyssey that the ramblings, the side-trips, etc. didn't really mean that much to me.

Gah. Under the Dome was as bad as The Tommyknockers, maybe even worse.
The problem with SK is that he hasn't actually declined. The quality is all over the damn place. He'll publish a real stinker, maybe two in a row, and then publish something good or even great—Duma Key after Lisey's Story being a good recent

There are two: The original was written when he was in college and was meant as a stand-alone. But after finishing his opus, he went back and revised it, adding some scenes and tweaking some details, to make it a better fit in the saga.
Both versions are terrific.

That site is like Internet Stonehenge, and I'm always mildly surprised to meet people who've never seen it or heard of it.
But if you've never seen the Gallery of Regrettable Food, you should totally click that link right now.

Sorry, there are at least three groups in the world, because I loathe both of those stupid sitcoms and always have.

I've gotten into trouble here in the past by stating that Stanley Kubrick's work is soulless, dry, usually overlong and usually incoherent.
This applies to all his films (I have not yet watched Paths of Glory but I've seen all the others). His Spartacus seems to have benefited greatly from what he called "studio

I'm a huge and lifelong Beatles fan, and the "White Album" is definitely their weakest effort.
