Well considering that when you call the police, it is physically impossible to be there withing minutes, usually. So the man would have left and police wouldnt do anything more than if they were there 5 minutes later.

That's not a problem that will last... kids will eventually wont fit in there since they are getting fatter...

I the woods I dont see any problem either, its more when you go where there is snow on year long. Nothing biodegrade and there is probably already a lot of poop near base camps with all those climbers every year.

I think the astronauts cant have fun too, its tough time over there, and doing these things are not only fun for them but for others... I think its great that they decided to do some entertainment that others can use
