I’m having my kitchen redone, and my contractor was referred to me by a very good friend of mine (who is also currently using him for a basement reno).

A friend of mine passed away last week. She’d gone to the doctor 3 weeks prior with what she thought was the flu. It was terminal cancer. We’d been friends with her boyfriend for years; we were only really just getting to know her, but she had the knack of making you feel like you’d been friends forever after just 10…
The DIK, ASS, and POO scandals got nothing on the TIT and PEE debacle of ‘88.
This is the biggest scandal since POO was found to have been cheating.
They should go after the duo of DIK and ASS next, as there is no way two people could have that many high scores all across the country without cheating.

Michael- your takedowns of these mayosapiens absolutely tickles me. If you didn’t already know, you are a day-maker!
To the commenter that asked if being a “florist” is no longer enough, I would just like to offer some education. There is actually a difference between being a florist and being a floral designer. The art of designing event florals is about more than a single centerpiece. It is about an ambiance that is created within…
It’s infuriatingly telling that he regards American citizens lobbying their elected representatives to enact laws on behalf of their constituency as “looking to someone else solve their problem.” That’s literally the entire point of having elected representatives.
Exactly. My ex was an awful person and I’m glad I’m not married. But my wedding pics are a reminder of an event that was wonderful to me 22 (!) years ago, family photos with dead relatives, etc. I would never throw them out, and anyone who would ask is an asshole. Also, I’ve lived with my partner for 6 years and he…
Exactly, thank you! Even here in the comments, people just seem to charge right over victims of sex trafficking and are writing again about how this could affect consensual sex workers. I understand concerns about overbroad legislation and am by no means championing this particular legislation as perfect. But, (not in…
It’s totally understandable that people would want to make the distinction as it is absolutely true that quite a few people do sex work consensually.
I heard a neighbor on the news say he was a good kid who was having trouble processing things happening in his life. Not only did he take a child’s life but her heartbroken family has to hear LE and people in their community excuse and even romanticize his actions.
This was my feeling on the subject too. I understand that this legislation doesn’t really help trafficking victims but the focus on consensual sex work is kind of...odd?
My wife has her old wedding pics. We go through them and laugh or admire how pretty she was as a bride. Even though that first marriage didn’t last, it doesn’t change the fact that her first wedding was obviously very special for her, as it should be, and it’s not a problem.
I will respond to you because this is exactly the kind of garbage that I find outrageous. NOW supports this legislation. UNICEF supports this legislation. 49 State Attorney Generals support this legislation and are on the record that there is a current loophole in the law that prevents them from prosecuting sex…
I would very much like to have a clear answer to the following: if the argument is that it is too difficult to isolate sex trafficking activities from other consensual sex work, is it Jezebel’s position that therefore we preference consensual sex work over victims of online sexual trafficking? Because, to be really…
