Same here. I used to subscribe to the magazine but had to stop because I found almost all of their movie coverage and reviews terrible.
Maxwell Timekeeper for the 13th Doctor
That Malcolm Tucker clip just reminded me that I need to rewatch all of TTOI and In the Loop.
Both positive and negative reviews make me equally excited for NWR movies.
The UK series Peep Show (especially Mark Corrigan) is probably the closest I've ever felt connected to characters on screen.
I, for one, welcome this combination of electronic music and my favorite cartoon.
Glad I moved from a Hoarders state to the RuPaul's Drag Race state.
I believe the stifled laughter/snort on Andy Daly's podcast belongs to Matt Gourley because it used to bother me a lot before I started listening to Gourley's other work and I became a huge fan of his.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Still, it would be nice to have them available on Hulu where I catch up on most of my late night TV.
Absolutely. I'd never miss an episode if they made it more accessible.
I always love everything NWR does, so this is my most anticipated movie of the year.
Even if I haven't seen the movie being discussed, I still largely agree with WHM's thoughts on movies/themes/writing overall. I enjoy their digressions, and when HDTGM sticks too narrowly to the title movie it's just not as fun for me.
That's interesting because I love WHM and can't stand HDTGM (despite loving a lot of the people who are involved in HDTGM). The WHM gang just has a really good rapport, imo, and even when they're highly critical of a movie the discussion still feels like it's all in good fun. Admittedly, I think the episodes are…
Trainspotting is one of the best book-to-movie adaptations, imo. I'm wary about the sequel (which has apparently started shooting?), but it can't possibly be worse than the book.
Fair enough. When I was ~14yo the pretty face sufficed, but knowing what I know now, I probably wouldn't have watched the show for as long as I did if at all.
I clicked on the article thinking Ianto was one of the obvious deaths people would remember, but maybe its omission is a testament to how terribly Torchwood destroyed its own legacy with those latter seasons.
I was bitter about Ianto's death in Torchwood for the longest time. The show had been going downhill for a while, but that was the final straw for me.
I avoid looking out of windows after dark because I'm afraid I'm going to see a person standing right on the other side like something from the Twilight Zone or countless horror movies.
Unfortunately not. I checked.
