Square Enix really tends to swing for the fences. Their games end up being masterpieces or disasters. Way fewer middle of the road titles than most major developers. In a way, I find it sort of admirable.

True, though I wouldn’t say either of them ended up being bad games. Not great, but not bad.

Nobody needs video games to survive. You’re a thief. There is no “necessity” here.

Legendary Contagion with the perk that lets it spread more times is very OP. You basically don’t have to worry about non-boss enemies at all after that. For the bosses, Short Circuit and Overheat have you covered.

You’re welcome! I actually thought of a few more examples since my first post:

I’m not the person who made the original post you were replying to. I wouldn’t say it’s the norm, but it definitely isn’t uncommon. There are at least ten examples like you asked for.

I used hacking for offense almost exclusively in the late game, it works fine. If you have legendary-grade Contagion, Overheat, and Short Circuit with a legendary cyberdeck, you basically don’t need a gun.

In terms of final game quality, or in terms of production mess? If it’s the former, there are hundreds of games worse than Cyberpunk. If it’s the latter, Duke Nukem Forever comes to mind first. Final Fantasy XIII. Kotor II. Sonic ‘06. Anthem. The Bureau. Cooking Mama: Cookstar. Daikatana. LA Noire. Metroid: Other M.

I just finished the game this week. I played it on a high end PC, and it was still riddled with bugs. I didn’t encounter anything game-breaking, but there were definitely some that made it less enjoyable. During the big final boss fight the target just froze in mid-air about a minute or so in, no longer attacking. I

Covid will not be over by March. Not trying to be mean, not trying to be a downer. But you can probably save yourself some cash if you start with that assumption. Next year, maybe.

We really mean it this time, guys! Pinkie promise!

C’moooon Afterlife 2!

She got what she fucking deserved. Let her peddle her nonsense about Qanon and voter fraud to the worms.

Nothing’s going to happen even then. The idea that Trump will be successfully prosecuted and incarcerated is a fantasy. If this was an actual priority for the Biden administration they’d have focused on getting the Justice Department staffed up and ready to go first and foremost. Instead it seems to be at the bottom

They don’t give a shit about anything but staying in power. It’s not them and their kids who’ll be dying in a civil war. Everyone else can die as long as it gets them what they want.

Yes. It was great, but it was also way more sci-fi and unreal than the modern Batman movies. Compare the way BTAS portrayed Ra’s al Ghul to the way Batman Begins portrayed him. No more lazarus pits and magic powers.

I really liked Wintermoor Tactics Club, but... doesn’t “Tactics RPG meets visual novel” also describe the Fire Emblem series pretty accurately?

The problem here is the hype level. Cyberpunk 2077 was hyped as this revolutionary game which would completely redefine video games, an instant contender for best video game of all time, a flawless masterpiece. The expectations were impossible. It made any flaws at all completely unacceptable.

Yes, there were dates on it. There didn’t have to be. It could’ve just been “prior to August 9, 1974" instead of the bolded section. The point is, pardons do not have to be for specific offenses.

No, they don’t. A presidential pardon can be for any and all past crimes, charged or uncharged. That’s how Ford’s pardon of Nixon worked.
