The legit ageism on this thread is kind of amazing. Like, people displaying a weakness are fair game for concern, and there has been some of that shown with a candidate or two. I’m disappointed that suddenly ageism seems to be OK, even amongst people who otherwise hold progressive views. Rejecting someone based on their age is unjust and discriminatory.

It took me some time, but I’ve fallen in love with Elizabeth Warren. Her policy is on point and she’s getting better in public appearances. She’s Hillary without the ego, Bernie without the bros and she walks the walk.

Yeah, this is one of those situations where a lot of us who say we want reform in the bail system have to give ourselves a gut check. Cash bail is a fucked up bullshit system. Is he likely a danger to the community? Is he a flight risk? That’s ALL judges should be considering.

No one should have to have that kind of strength and use such extreme coping mechanisms to survive.
