He’s the antithesis of Brett Gardner.

they do that because its the fans that are making the racist comments. In this case its the PLAYERS that made the comments.

You discovered why aging is a thing.

There’s a couple of distilleries around here that do “white whiskey” and “moonshine”. I’ve tried a few of them (Onyx, Full Moonshine) and I’ve attempted to like it. I didn’t like it straight, and it didn’t add much as a mixer.

Many recycle plants will immediately throw away any containers with food  left in them as the food screws up the recycling process.  But whatever, fill the landfills that you have no more room for because your president had a falling out with the largest recycling plant in the world.

I have. Takes all of two seconds to fill it with scalding hot water to melt off the peanut butter. You let it site in the sink while you eat. When you’re done, you clean your dishes and rinse the jar. It’ll be clean. If not, the peanut butter has loosened enough that you can simply aim your faucet at the spots in the j

Step 1: fill jar with water

I don’t know, local play by play teams are usually employed by the teams that they announce for, right? So I don’t think there’s really much expectation of color analysts of being super critical of teams. I agree that Sponcon crap and journalists getting in bed with brands and what not is super gross, but I’m not sure

Is this a fair place to note that CC Sabathia has a Simpson’s head (where it only looks okay from the side and not straight on)?

We’ve known for at least 1/2 a century that recycling is a critical link in a sustainable civilization. We’ve also known for at least 1/2 a century that we can do it. It takes space, time, and energy. We also have had the space, time, and energy for at least that long.

If it looks too oily, I usually just split the difference and recycle just the lid.

To be fair, I only knew it was profitable as function of homeless people in my city taking both metal and plastic from the trash.

You could also cut down on much of this waste by foregoing bottled water, using reusable shopping bags and reusing glass and plastic containers. You may save a few bucks too.

There’s a reason ‘recycle’ is third on the list - reduce first and what you can’t reduce, reuse, and what you can’t reuse, THEN recycle.

They burn whatever you throw in your trashbag. Pretty much everything is combustible at 1500 F.

Most of us think of recycling as a service our city provides, but in reality it’s a business.

The biggest news to me here is that the costs aren’t subsidized by any level of government, which they really should be. Is that possibility part of the Green New Deal or whatever?

Does it have to be profitable? It’s a public utility/good, just like mass transit, which aren’t for profit.

So I went to the doctor for a broken wrist in my 20s, he told me I needed a cat scan to determine what to do about it and both he and the insurance company assured me it’d be fully-covered. I do, get the followup recommended surgery, then get a 2k bill for the cat scan because my insurance didn’t think it was actually
