Ok, whatever. I'm not really up on the definition of a "troll." I always thought that was someone who went around trying to stir up trouble for trouble's sake, which is not what I meant to do. At any rate, I actually know quite a bit about the subject as a former enthusiast. You take issue with my statement that there

I've read Watchmen. I did really like it, but a more sophisticated review of it finds it lacking in a lot of respects. The characterization of females in it is particularly typical of the industry. For instance, the first Silk Spectre who actually forgives and sexually desires her rapist (with little, if any, judgment

Those movies and shows are huge, no doubt. But the people who like them are not then going out and picking up a comic book. It's still a much smaller audience that read comic books and still very male-dominated. And most are definitely not arguing about the physics of superpowers or which superhero could beat up which

Great comment. I don't watch any legal shows for this reason — I can't stop myself from screaming that couldn't happen, no judge would allow that, this is completely improper, etc. The only thing I watch that comes close is SVU, but luckily they focus mostly on the cop aspect that I don't know as much about from

Oh no! Someone said something I don't like! What a troll! Thanks for epitomizing the type of people who speak about "nerd culture." Let me get you a tissue.

Man, this show really got under the skin of this comic book nerd. Sorry that you still don't understand that comic books are, no matter what their fans want you to think, a primitive form of storytelling and should be pretty silly to adults. I loved comics, too, and have a soft spot for the characters, but then I

I really loved this finale until I read this comment. You're absolutely right. Had to be Clay, especially after he'd just been at the station giving a statement. Now he can get Jax to have the charges against him go away and stop him from being killed. All this just so they can continue to extend Clay's life

I'm sure you, like McFarland, felt really good trying to use "big" words to justify your over-education and under-employment, but this simile (or whatever you mean it to be) really means nothing. Schadenfreude is feeling happiness about another's misery. I'm pretty sure Tosh is not feeling miserable, especially when

Unfortunately, it is realistic. Look at any war where social order significantly breaks down and you'll see huge numbers of rapes. I wish it was just a fictional trope, but it is often portrayed because it is such a powerful offense and is the usual way men use to break women. They generally just torture and kill the

My favorite exchange of the entire episode!

This show is putrid. It's so awful from start to finish that I don't even have the time or energy to get into all the things that are wrong with it and Ryan Murphy shows generally and to create a more specific criticism.

I think Walt will use those connections to kill the men being paid off. Lydia knows who they are and there was definitely as much of a connection between them as there seems to be between Walt and Todd.

I disagree. Everything in Breaking Bad is shown for a reason and everything comes back to play into the plot. Lost only made you think it was doing this, when it ended up just leaving those mysteries unsolved and irrelevant. I loved Lost, but Breaking Bad is far tighter.
