Not the same level of frustration or injury, but a couple of weeks ago, in the rain I slipped and fell on the small oily patch of the ramp leading down to the employee door of my work while running late after being redirected from three different parking lots by angry police officers accommodating the annual race I…
I like the Florida Panthers, and I like that they seem to have found some success after so many years (the '95 Final notwithstanding). They remind me of the Toronto Raptors. They came out around the same time. Their jerseys/logos are colourful, and stand out in a goofy but cool sort of way. Their announcers are…
It's not that great, but it's not that bad either. It basically comes out and says that she has a social disorder, and the series is more or less an overly wacky but sympathetic look at someone delusional with no talent trying to seek fame, and the normal sister who's trying to cushion the blow.
The C+ user grade is more accurate, but the show's watchable if annoying at times. It's better if you look at it as less a Miranda Sings show, and more a show about the normal sister living with her who finds her insufferable but cares about her enough to not want to see her get squished like a bug when her bubble…
As someone who finds her more or less tolerable and occasionally funny in the limited things I've seen her in, this just made me feel .. weird.
Not to make you .. like him a little bit less, but she was on the show because his daughter is a fan and asked him to do it. I found it just okay as well, same with the show. I think it could honestly be a funnier character if she dialed it back a bit.
Bo Burnham, but I'm not sure that counts anymore.
It's .. okay. It's the type of show you let roll into the next episode without really wanting to watch the next one that much, but still doing it anyway. I've seen three or four, and I think it averages one genuinely good laugh and one or two cringe-worthy moments an episode. The C+ user rating is more accurate. The…
It's basically the theme of this thread, but I'm happy to throw my hat in and just say how much I'm going to miss this guy. The President of the United States has a profound effect on popular culture and general mood, and we're never going to have this again in our lifetimes. Intelligent, thoughtful, funny, charming,…

I read an article around when he came into office about marital infidelity in politics. It concluded with a fond look at the Obamas and their marriage, and ended with the line, "Michelle would kill him."
Amabo was born in Zimbabwe, but nice try.
I always wonder if Trailer Park Boys was inspired by Spinal Tap. It's essentially the same humour.
I've seen the ring. It's disgusting.
I had the same thought, actually.
I'm one of those people who hasn't yet seen One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest as well as quite a few other famous films. Brad Dourif seems like a cool guy. I only know him from LOTR, but his performance was great in that, and his stated method adds to it. Also, as an (albeit mild) stutterer, it's nice to hear what one…
Not only a win, but a return to form! Granted, Russell Martin didn't disappoint with hitting into an (almost) double play on cue, but the Jays actually look like the Jays again, offensively. Once that momentum gets rolling, it's a whole new game. ESPN predicted Toronto to win in five. Seven is unlikely, but possible,…
Separately, why did they change it? There's a New York/Chicago/California team in each league. Why not Texas?
Yeah, the Oakland A's inspire basically apathy in me as well. Nothing against them or anything.
