The public safety issue in more rural areas is valid. Even the past year with the fires in Hawaii, cell service and fiber burned to the ground but AM signals broadcasting potential evacuation routes and warnings about closures and services helped. Being 300 miles away and not having a technological barrier to

It's to save right wing talk radio.

They said The Thing!

Ryan Reynolds kills it on the business end. Midas touch.

I used T-Mobile and then Mint...Same exact service; just a bit of deprioritization versus T-Mobile subscribers.

“It’s easy to be a saint in paradise” is one of my favorite DS9 quotes.

It’s a little unfair, true, but they did decide on a premise that pretty much demanded serialization.

Duet is incredible television. And lots of DS9's best episodes have nothing to do with the Dominion War – Far Beyond The Stars and The Visitor rank right up there with In The Pale Moonlight or anything else in the Dominion arc.

🎵Allamaraine, count to four,

The entire show should have been like that. That was the hook from the start, they just abandoned it.

It’s a little unfair to wish for serialization when it wasn’t really a thing back then (especially for a show that was struggling to all of a sudden try something super experimental), but, my goodness, how I wish Year of Hell was a season long arc.

People think DS9 only got good when the Dominion stuff started?

The thing with DS9 is that it was good from the start. Did it get better? Absolutely. But season 1 of DS9 is miles better than most Trek first seasons, and of the live-action Treks I think only TOS and Strange New Worlds have better season ones.

I’m one of those fans that loves all Trek on at least some level, but there was something extra special about DS9 right from the beginning. Essentially, throwing out the “perfection” of the Federation, etc., from the get-go made it an infinitely more interesting story to watch. Again, love the original, TNG, Voyager,

Why not just have a big vacuum that sucks away all your money and credit cards as you walk in the door?

In one way that makes me sad, that Ronald is gone. However I have to say that, sitting in line at DQ earlier tonight, I thought about how the highlight of fast food as a kid was getting a “toy” with your meal, even if it was kind of crappy. That has to sort of program kids to want fast food, and to associate “fast

I remember about six months before Iron Man 3 came out, images of the movie’s LEGO tie-in sets leaked, and I was super disappointed when the movie came out and it didn’t culminate with an epic ultimate showdown between Iron Man and the Mandarin driving around in a riding lawnmower.

They’re gonna A) Never call her Sabra, going for Ruth instead, and B) She’ll be of Israeli descent but already working for some secret American government thing.  Probably just reporting directly to Ross.

Marvel should be able to smooth over Sabra being Israeli by making MCU Earth not have the same conflict. Our Earth doesn’t have a Wakanda or Sokovia, so MCU Earth not having an Israeli/Palestinian conflict should be doable. The only change they need to make is to have the 2000 Camp David meeting end with an Accord

It will always crack me up that the only two holdovers from Joss Whedon’s earlier script he wrote are the absolute worst line in the film... and the absolute best:
