The last season of Heros was unwatchable.

I do not disagree! That said, I would be fine if they brought him back to be the voice (and holo display via digital wizardry) of Riri William/Iron Heart’s Tony Stark A.I.
The Mummy was from a time when the studios still tried to make movies that were fun, instead of the whole grim-dark thing.
“The Mummy” from 1999 paved the way for the summer blockbuster as we know it? This sounds very much like what you’d say if you were born in 1993, but summer blockbusters have been around since Jaws in 1975 at least.
These guys really wanna say the N-word and they’re rapidly running out of anodyne euphemisms to use in their place.
io9 didn’t used to have this kind of fanboy. I guess a few of them migrated here after the fall of aicn.
In 1985, when I was 13, I was able to read X-Men and New Mutants comics and immediately recognize the social commentary.
Yeah this is another classic thing which was “woke” in the 1960s being accused of “going woke” 60 years later, right up there with Star Trek. Did they somehow miss Black Panther (1966) and the X-Men and so on?
This picture is absolutely amazing and I love it.
It’s just the newest replacement for whatever misogynistic/racist/homophobic slur they actually want to use. You saw this with them talking about the “DEI mayor of Baltimore” when they clearly meant the n-word. SJW and then Woke got worn out so they moved on.
OH NOES MARVEL COMICS ARE WOKE
Jesus wept dude. Are you so stuck in the Trump-o-sphere that you’ve already made the switch from “woke” to “DEI” as a euphemistic replacement for your desire to use “bitch”, the f-word or the n-word. How long did it take you stop using “SJW” and switch to “woke” before that?
You voted for Peltz, right?
Dude, who the fuck cares?
Came here to see what stupid things whiney little fanboys with little knowledge of the characters they’re mad about were saying you did not disappoint. Hell, even if you’d read the article correctly you might have come out okay, but you couldn’t even do that!
Is this a “DEI thing” or is just Kevin Feige and co. saying “Hey, we already had Norrin Radd in one of those Tim Story F4 movies, voiced by Lawrence Fishburne who already plays a separate character in the MCU, so why don’t we do something a little different”?
Please do like 30 seconds of research before posting, dipshit.
“The DEI thing” oh my god shut up. Just say that you want to be real sure we aren’t getting more women and minorities in your comic book movies.
DEI has to do with giving financial and professional opportunity to those that have purposely been excluded from the social and economic engine that they live in and contribute to.
I’m of the opinion that we absolutely did not need to jump straight into Silver Surfer/Galactus territory with this movie, so I’m a bit bummed by this.
