There... there are non-stealth kills?

So glad they presumably have a functional copy of Apollo again. Very curious to see what implications that holds for this world.

1991 to 2024 is a decent chunk of time not to remake a movie.

The ending, particularly the final shot made the scope more intimate.

Hollywood has created a new demon—we’ll call it the remake monster. . . .

Learning Elisabet Sobek’s true fate is one of my most memorable gaming moments of recent memory (followed up by learning what Ted Faro did to Apollo and the other Alphas...).

I actually kind of see it a different way. The Horizon games are, imo, unfairly compared to the likes of then new Zeldas, Skyrim, and Elden Ring because of its open-world design, yet I would argue that they have very different intentions. The other open-world games are about ‘go off and do your own thing and there may

It was and still is.  The franchise has a habit of releasing at the same time some other giant game comes out and gets buried in the discourse about that.  BOTW for the first game and then Elden Ring for the second

Agreed. As I played through Zero Dawn, I really enjoyed it but as I got closer to the end and learned the full story of how the land came to be, it became one of my all-time favorites.

In media circles, there’s a weird lukewarm-ness about it. It’s really not reflected in player sentiment, I’d say.

I liked the combat a lot more than I liked other OW games (in particular - that you could brute-force your way through some fights or you could do them right and the game just let you do whichever you had the patience for).

But I agree that the story was amazing. I loved finding out slowly what had happened to the

Horizon is usually considered a great game. I think it’s suffered a bit in the past few years as it’s aged. The game is astoundingly pretty, and the mixture of stealth/combat is pretty excellent for an open-world game.

But I’ll admit that I loved the story (and found it incredibly depressing in a good way), but it’s

I just picked up my replay of Forbidden West and yeah, I’m really enjoying going back to it. It’s a stunning looking title, and the setting is still quite unlike anything else I’ve played. I do agree that perhaps it’s a bit too heavy on the Little Tasks To Check Off, and god but grinding for upgrade materials is a pain

For me it was the story that drove me, and the gameplay/open world took a back seat. For some reason, the combat just does not click with me and I’ve played through both games and still just can’t “get it.” The stealth doesn’t feel good and the action combat is too frenetic for me to really click with trying to pick

At Dawn, of course.

A western version of Waterworld or The Postman? Should be interesting

When do the robot dinosaurs show up?

Anytime I hear about Zaslav it’s basically a story about how much he’s lubing his hands for the shareholders. The fact that he and Rowling, two of the most disgusting people in entertainment, seem to be buddies doesn’t shock me in the least

A good store manager would trespass this clown instead of allowing him to harass their employees.
