If her in ear monitors were not working correctly, that would make it harder for her to hear herself.  That would definitely impact her singing.

Plus, she’s playing for 80,000 people in the stadium itself and a billion people on TV. Even the most seasoned performer would be shitting their pants on that kind of stage...

It’s annoying that they edited it, but I’m more annoyed by people giving her shit for her voice cracking. Like, it happens to every singer. You can’t predict it or account for it, it just happens sometimes. And she recovered from it as smoothly as you possibly can.

That’s that fallout of 2015 Secret Wars comic, so I expect it to be the same in the MCU version. Although, I think people are turning on the multiverse stuff so much that Disney might have to speed up the timeline.

I absolutely love these Nickelodeon and Disney alternate sports broadcasts. My fave is still when they did the Big City Greens NHL broadcast and they straight up replaced real players with the show’s characters. So while every player was represented by a cartoony CGI replacement, an example of like Conor McDavid was

Honestly this is the version I watched last night. Loved every minute of it.

Blame G/O Media for this.  Since acquiring io9 years ago, this is one of their mandates in the hopes it’ll attract clicks.

Looking forward to this

actors have never been roided up or worse lol. actors being paid millions? gtfo. tax breaks for movie productions? never happened.

An injured Kirk Gibson limping around the bases after his clutch home run, that was a pure movie quality story and image. Dave Dravecky improbably coming back from losing a bunch of the muscles on his pitching arm and then having it fracture mid game throwing a pitch and eventually losing the arm, a rollercoaster ride

“Horse Feathers” is almost 100 years old and still hilarious.

My gosh, both “Longest Yards” are better than “Rudy.”

The fact that y’all not only didn’t put The Replacements as #1, but left it off the list entirely tells me everything I need to know about the current state of the AV Club. It was fun while it lasted.

Where are Varsity Blues and The Program? Both are top notch football movies.

Rudy sucks.

Hell yes, along with The Program.

I don’t consider Jerry Maguire to be a football movie. It’s. Rom-com, about a sports agent and a single mother, with a tiny bit of football sprinkled in there.

rudy was a terrible pick for #1 (should be brians song or FNL), but seeing any given sunday in the top 5 is a worse sin. You take out all the slo-mos and that movies run time decreases by about 30m. Only movie I have ever walked out on.

The Replacements is a glaring omission.
