I really think that those who missed voting on the Lytro as the most innovative app of the year really didn't bother reading about it. It captures image data in a whole new manner. It re-thinks the idea of flat plane image photography, and makes photography more like truly capturing a point in light space/time.

We have to remember that what Amazon is doing is selling access to OTHER's existing computers. Someone had to invest in all of those cores for them to process on, whether it was their own investment or yours and mine. Which makes what they are doing slightly questionable. Can you legally sell access to computing

I had this set as a kid. But somehow I always wanted the TCR set instead. Mostly because Tyco supported it as a platform and you could make massive sets out of it. This Race and Chase set was only one set, and as fun as it was, I usually resorted back to my hand-me-down Aurora AFX set for long track fun. Nice

The Chrysler K car. Gotta be.

Pocketability. Back-pocketability. Like a wallet. When you can sit on your phone and not worry about breaking the glass, the phone becomes more like a wallet, and perhaps more functional.

I am seriously thinking about doing the same thing- dumping Directv but I am also accepting the fact that there are some things we will have to lose, like the NFL- too expensive for my tastes. And I am comfortable having to occasionally go to the web to see shows that my BluRay internet connected player cannot

I will watch it only because there aren't enough car talk shows on TV for my tastes. BUT! I highly recommend watching Adam Carolla's The Car Show on speed, despite the fact that Speed has cut it to 1/2 hour. the show does a much better job of channeling the spirit of the UK TG but feels MUCH more organic than these

Thank you so much for this post. I always felt like he was one of those unique people in this world who by either happenstance or by choice, decided to raise an entire generation. What he did was so much bigger than himself, and the REAL wonder is he would never have claimed such grandiose things. He was humble to

I just want to know why it doesn't run on USB power instead of having to wind it up.

Uh- you can just click on the button on the bottom right of the ticker and hide the sidebar. Simple. Of course you have to do it every time you open the thing, but is that really a problem?

I am thinking that's a fake. The typeface used for "iPhone"on the back doesn't look right, unless of course Apple is updating their corporate style guide with the new iphone intro. Just my bet.

Okay there is one key point in the good doctor's argument. You don't magically produce Vitamin D when you are in the sun, you are able to ABSORB it. THAT is why you need to get into the sun. Eat all the supplements that you want- you will never have enough usable D in your system until you have had the sunlight

Why the heck does Google + need celebrities to make it popular???? there are so many people like myself who already wanted to be part of it that they have no need to gin up demand.

I have to agree with most of the list here but really- there are some things that MaxPC missed.

@comics0026: absolutely what I was thinking. thank you for being so eloquent about it.

@Ryan_Long: So I never heard the hidden track in the negative time... how do I find this? Is it on Apollo 18? love to know more-thanks!

Um... if the projectile can be stopped by a cardboard backsplash, I don't think we have a lot to worry about. Kind of anti-climactic. But a good proof of concept- proving that this is still an inefficient way of firing projectiles.

I have to say its nice to hear I am not the only one who has gone bonkers and destroyed something. I am in that one percent as well- destroyed a malfunctioning motion computing tablet on the corner of a piece of furniture. The furniture stood the test, the computer shattered, and I might add it was very satisfying.
