I mean the funny thing was that the folk revival of the 60 that has been influencing a lot of bands for the last 50 years, was a revival of folk music of the 20s, 30s and 40s that itself was a revival of earlier folk music traditions—that then evolved from older folk music traditions brought by immigrants(or black

I don't know how many records Arcade Fire actually sells(or even their level of name recognition), but they do manage to play and occasionally sell out arenas on their North American tours.

Well, I meant rock music of the future evolving, not really comparing to genres of the past. I can't see rock as a genre in the future ever having the equivalent of the progression of rock's first 25 years.

I love the blues too, and every year I go to our local blues festival. A third of the bands are white dudes trying to play like Stevie Ray Vaughan(which can sometimes be entertaining) a third are zydeco or non-blues world music and then there's a mix of old soul musicians, some younger bands playing a revival of

I mean it seemed like we went through a 70s phase in the 90s(a lot of throwbacks to heavy rock of the early 70s), and then went through a revival of the late 70s New York bands in the early 2000s and then went through a sort of late 60s/70s folky singer-songwriter phase after that and then a lot of early 80s

A lot of old rock hits at this point are sort of like how jazz pop standards were several generations ago. Everyone knows the songs across several generations, even if they are kind of bored of them, it's like musical comfort food. It's become safe music suitable for weddings and sporting events.

Always has a replay, never tilts at all,
That deaf dumb and blind kid sure knows how to ball.

Has there really been that many great new developments in rock music since the 90s? I mean there's been plenty of good and even great rock albums in the last 15 years, but many of them sound like they could've been released 20-30 years prior in terms of style. The only new direction that rock went was more towards

They'll just re-work Tommy to be a rap opera now.

Or rap will be like the blues, where mostly it's white dudes who are into it, but they'll have summer festivals where they drag out the few remaining old 90-year-old authentic rap musicians still alive.

Works every time.

When ever someone used to order an Irish Car Bomb, I'd always go, "Hey man, not cool, my grandpa lost his life in Belfast from one of those."

Note: To avoid any libel lawsuits, we'd just like to point out that James Woods is not famous for drinking Red Bull and vodkas.

And then an hour later where someone goes, "Hey, got any more?"

Thats a spicy meata balla of-a posta!

The Taco Time near my house dresses up as Los Pollos Hermanos daily.

Sometimes gets mixed up with Mario and Luigi cosplay porn.

Did you know that pizza-related porn was up 400% for the year? If these trends continue…aay!

I mean at worst, you probably would've just lost a lot of weight after eating an E. Coli burrito at Chipolte. And losing weight is hard!

With that name I was hoping he went to a snooty Ivy League school as a legacy admission but turns out he just went to CU Boulder and the Art College of Design in Pasadena, California.
