There's been talk of years of defunding NPR and PBS. Hasn't happened yet and doubt it does even with a Republican congress hostile to what it sees as its pro-liberal bias. But lest you forget, the CTW sold first rights' to arguably PBS's signature and most important program "Sesame Street," to HBO for gobs of cash.

Anyone who has followed Miller's music knows he has been bitter about the music business for a long time. The Black Keys, a pretty good band in their own right, should not take it personally. Miller merits the H of F for basically defining a form of 1970s rock. He also had one of the defining greatest hits collections

Never Let Me Down? That was as bloated and overblown an album as any major rock star ever released. The Glass Spider tour exemplifies this.

Give the man his due. He could travel the world playing his old hits for admiring crowds — Paul McCartney does but is forgiven because he loves to, Steely Dan does and is not because they hate to. But Bowie continues to push the envelope and challenge his fans.

Did you really have that many issues with Spotify? I find it an easy service to use. The Beatles will soon join it, and don't look now but holdouts Taylor Swift, Adele, and Peter Gabriel will soon need to (and Prince and Neil Young will soon return.) Could you now recompile and post the lists there?

God only knows how many women and even children he potentially sentenced to death by his behavior and lies. They are the people who need your prayer and empathy today. But let's be honest too - women literally threw themselves at him.

Watching the show. The time travel bits are well done and remind you the most of the classics. But the rest of it has them trying way too hard for laughs and it reminds you a lot of a manic CN show.

Everyone has said at least one ridiculous, ignorant thing in their lives that they regret. And deserves one mulligan. This was Hogan's.

Although she will probably not get credit for it, Georgia Engel deserves kudos for her role as Georgette on the MTM show. She humanized the Ted Baxter character much as Carol Kane did for Andy Kaufman.

How does it not count toward her studio albums? You mean on her RCA contract?

Of course, it is cheaper and probably more moral to buy your own luncheon meats, veggies, and bread and make tasty sandwiches from your home.

Beautiful lady, kind soul. It is hard saying goodbye to so many people who made an impact on you when you were young. But we will have to get used to it. I'm only glad the Batman series finally got released on DVD so she could receive the praise she deserved. Sad she now will not be able to be part of any revived

To which Bucky, I can only add the beautiful, underrated Barbara Feldon. Ms. Craig and Ms. Newmar were the women who made me love women.

It is something we all have to fight inside of us. A skepticism, mistrust of those who do not look or act like we do. This is not to say it cannot be held at bay or overcome, just that every person - black or white - starts with that disadvantage.

Be aware though, the Van Wezel is one of the dorkiest places to see a show. No center aisle, so you have to squeeze past everyone else to get to your seat. Saw Mannheim Steamroller there last Thanksgiving and it while it was not the worst show I ever saw, it was the most disappointing.

Got tickets for the Fort Myers show and looking forward to it. They are playing places which normally host oldies shows, long-running plays (Wicked, Lion King) and even Elvis impersonators. Surprised they came here, but glad to have them.

AAA (adult album alternative) was a popular format in the mid to late-1990s and Matthews was a major artist on it along with Sheryl Crow and others.

Capone had the biggest soup kitchen in Chicago in the Depression. If you look for pristine morality from any corporation you're fooling yourself. Mitt Romney had a point when saying corporations are people, or at least like them: selfish, short-term minded, vindictive, narrow-focused, pretentious, occasionally

Hey, argue with Webster not me.

pressurize: attempt to persuade or coerce (someone) into doing something.
"the protests were an attempt to pressurize the government into bringing an end to the violence"
