Those hybrids were only mild hybrids. They weren’t capable of moving the truck on batteries alone.

this is the effect of lease programs, heavy debt and need to maximize resale value calculated at the time of purchase not just by the consumer but up the chain as the dealers and managers consider this a factor in buying cars.
