If it helps to understand why you came off as a dick, imagine walking up to a group of people having a conversation in real life about speedrunning, and saying the same thing.
I understand the business decision behind it. Makes sense from that perspective and there is a scenario where from a consumer perspective that it may work out. If they put 30-40 hrs of gameplay in a section that represents 1/20th of the original game, 60 dollars seems more than justfiable.
The problem then becomes…
Right on, brother! I hope I didn’t come off as a pompous ass, and the only reason I felt so passionate about the comment is because I bought Machi Koro early on and initially fell in love, only to realize after 10 plays that winning is less a strategy, and more a byproduct of great rolls. I understand that it’s derivative (D&D in general is derivative largely of Tolkein’s work), but I love those characters so much. What I especially love is (you’re waiting for me to say Raistlin, aren’t you?) how they weren’t afraid to make Tanis…

Dude, that’s President Obama’s daughter.
‘Oh, let me rephrase then...
”Malia Obama, daughter of a President,
SHUT.THE.FUCK.UP.!!!!!”
Yeah I kinda hated it for the first 15-20 hours. 150 hours later I still play it from time to time and love it.
We are gonna stop Meowlathotep.
This should be a lot of fun to watch.
