DAMN BIRD

Also had the 7800--this game was great but drove me CRAZY once you got to the bird levels. Never was able to actually beat the game because of those damn birds.

Yah. I don’t mind a story in the ST setting, but if the story isn’t good, I don’t need it to be an expensive night at the theater for the equivalent of the after- the- credits- scene.

I give you a star for pushing beyond the troll and into something actually constructive. I for one wish we all had a bit more anti-snark in our lives.

The worst part is that a four color mana card is gonna take some work to get into play. That’s the stuff that is worth complaining about.

I didn’t click the Polygon link, so I might be just rehashing what was in that article:

I see a nod to the ka-tet, I offer a star.

So...Roblox for the older crowd?

I’m not watching the show (don’t have HBO), but did play the game and am enjoying these recaps to see how much they follow the game’s storyline.

I am your comment.

What a great term. I plan on using antihumor at least two or three times this week.

Gotcha. I missed the part of the article related to the furniture moving subplot--one of the more uncommon D&D adventure storylines. :)

I have questions about the 2012 cover art. It appears that there is a mage in a towering bone high chair in...a swamp? It seems that the Mage in a Bone Chair is searching for Weasel...does the chair have means of locomotion? I know the best thought it just to not think about it...but it just doesn’t seem to make a lot

Since I have aged into Old Man space, my gaming time has diminished as has my gaming tastes. The PS4 has been great for smaller indie games (with smaller hours of play...and smaller price-points, t00).

There are some cards that I view as “utility players” that I keep on the bench unless I need them and Shang Chi is one of them. Perhaps this isn’t the correct thinking in a 12 Card Deck Game—maybe it’s too defensive? That said, there is something neat about “going to the bullpen” and playing Shang Chi when necessary

Can’t second this enough. Mystery Inc. was excellent.

This is really cool news. One of my groups favorite games. It’s both cooperative and cuthroat at the same time. For a card based strategy board game, the actual “arc” of the game tells a really neat story.

haha, you are right. Though if someone told me that Illimat is a Farming Thief Simulator with Mystical Elements...well...actually, I’d definitely want to play that game!

Illimat is one of my favorite games! For a game with no inherent theme, it is so thematic! I’ve often described it as, “the game stumbled upon in some dusty old attic...but with modern board game designs.”

I actually think the game is in really good hands with NSG (null signal games). While “unofficial,” the community has recognized them as the caretakers of the game. They just had Worlds in Toronto.
