Ok I mean if anyone wanted/expected a simple points/grade to decide if they’ll buy a game, there’s so many possible sites out there. Personally I thought the author juxtaposed their life struggles with the game and explains intersecting themes very poetically, in my opinion. If ya didn’t like it move on, life will…
Gonna assume most of the people having issues have never played Metroid before, at least none of the 2D ones? I’m not a hardcore gamer but having played many of the old-school 2D I would immediately start firing at the walls when stuck, with most times that resolving my stunted progress. Or set off a power bomb.
I’m going to buy this simply because of how much I enjoy the thumbnail, very cool!!!
I also have a Switch and I feel like this mini will fill the void for any of my other portable gaming needs...
Personally I had decent memories of this place, but I can imagine the crazy choices made to keep costs down (terrible-ass pizza). Enjoyed this read, especially the “many animatronic vacation homes I’m sure he owns" line at the end gives it a fantastic finish!
Excellent video. Local radio station regularly plays some No Doubt and I enjoy especially cranking up “Sunday morning,” “Spiderwebs,” or “Just a Girl.” Whatever feelings people have about the group or Gwen specifically doesn’t take any from the awesome tunes they made together, I feel, anyway.
That’s cool, I tried following a similar formula, then kept adding the acceptable number of games started at once but I have since fallen backwards. Curious; with so many games started do you have like a tier system of games that you are likelier to get back to soon and absolutely plan to finish?
I'd like to think that instead of every one of us looking at someone else's situation and critiquing them we need to realize that the problem is each of our respective lives being altered so drastically, and that's hard. Hopefully you can discover ways to make this distancing not be so alienating, ways that you enjoy.…
Anyone ever have the blue mango juice monster? Really like it so I'm curious as to how it compares with the fiesta one.
Pretty much the same impression. Thinking it was simply a strong headline to an otherwise lighthearted article, I had to step back before I finished reading it. Sorry for your loss, heartbreaking.
Just a quick correction, but the smog check here in California is done every 2 years.
I can’t even recall how I decided to get this game but I’m thoroughly enjoying it, been playing it for many, many, MANY, days now. I think I left the difficulty as is (and only chickened-out by switching a fight or two to easy) and have found the difficulty to be pretty even. Some have given me trouble until I return…
Have a great, safe trip, looking forward to tales when you return.
Whattaya gonna do? Chase me off your lawn?
Thought that Ididn’t care about video games much anymore but the announcement of SNES games and Return of the Obra Dinn made me sequel in delight (hopefully only internally; I blacked out). Wanna give Daemon X Machina another try even though I couldn’t get a good handle on the first demo.
Man this was awesome, very funny and beautifully drawn. Was not too keen on anything about the game really, but the comic made me interested so kudos on this!
That sequence was easily my best/most remembered aspect of Shenmue. The game seems to have a “love-it-or-don’t” place in video games but I was deeply imvested in it. There should definitely be a way to play the forklift as long as one liked.
