I haven’t cooked anything in weeks and am actually tired of take out and restaurants, which is kind of amazing for me. That choco-vulva loaf looks delicious! I love anything made with ricotta.

We put our house on the market a few weeks ago, and within 6 days we accepted an offer. Now we’re just praying that the appraisal goes well and we can get out of town before fall hits.

This so much. I’m a meat eater, but eat veg and vegan often. Having a fake meat entree still centers the meal around a “meat” type thing that’s most likely a processed food. It’s so easy to eat veggie and legume based dishes that give you protein and fill you up without a bunch of gums and fillers and over-processed…

One of my best friends and I were like, “THAT GUY????” But he plays the “harmless intellectual guy friend” so well. If you’re a damaged person (which, who isn’t) it’s so easy to fall for that. 

Oh, honey, please don’t let that haunt you. Someone else mentioned seeing a grief counselor, and that sounds like a good idea. I’m so sorry you’re hurting like this.

Congrats on the cycling! I used to be a very avid cyclist in crazy urban areas, and now I live in the country where I’m too scared to ride. Doesn’t help that the first week we lived here 2 people were killed while riding. Lots of cyclists where I live, but not having protected bike lanes and a pedestrian/cycling…

Idk how your grocery store is, but I just discovered that ours has fried chicken tenders at the deli counter. I get a head of romaine, some salad dressing, and some chicken tenders and call that chicken salad dinner. Takes about 5 minutes to throw it together and there’s no cooking. I cannot cook in the heat and…

It was pretty amazing when I was there for pizza night! 30 seconds for a pizza to be done. And not just done, but like bubbling cheese and perfect crust with bubbles and just a touch of dark browned spots. I put an egg on one and it turned out perfectly (I love egg on pizza).

I’m so sorry you’re going through that. My dad died years ago when I was in my twenties. I hadn’t seen him in years, and then he died before I was able to see him or even talk to him.
