Agree. I have a number of friends who struggle with depression and anxiety and I appreciate and prefer their honesty 100% with no judgement.

Right? That’s when you know you’re depressed. When you can’t see how your actions affect other people. You’re legitimately deaf and blind to how your behavior affects your friends and family. So, it’s easy to think that you’re actually doing everyone a favor.

A friend cancelled plans on a trip this weekend and all she had to say was that she’s having one of those days with her anxiety and depression. I think people get mental health and how it effects daily life now more than ever. Honesty is really the best policy. You might even get some soup and company brought over by

“When you suddenly cancel on friends, you are doing them a favor. You are in effect giving them a snow day, even if they didn’t realize they wanted one.”
