I remember discussing it in medical school, and seeing several articles since, but this is the first link that popped up on Google. It references a 1986 study but someone with more time or a doctorate in love might produce more recent research.

Rockband and Guitar Hero were cool in the day, but with real learning and entertaining experiences like Rocksmith it just seems hollow. I wish we had more instruments for Rocksmith or similar games that leave with you with some skills and something that translates to a real world sense of accomplishment.

That’s how much it costs to see a 90 minute movie in the theaters or buy a DVD on sale. I’d rather pay $18 for a powerful 3 hour experience rather than $60 for a sprawling RPG epic that leaves me feeling unsatisfied and that I will never finish. (I do both anyway, but Firewatch is the better deal.)

So why aren’t they suing every media outlet that has ever photographed or filmed these works of art without proper attribution or compensation?

I travel a lot so it’s fun to have something ready to open with my daughter as a trip present. I get the shirts, she gets whatever she likes, and the rest becomes gifts for my nephew (or junk). I do like the creativity in the box art when you refold them.

Both were dicks but it’s the tax payer that gets kicked in the chest to fund their bad behavior. That kind of payout seems excessive, but nothing like the millions paid out if a shot actually went off.

Yeah, these all seem about right. Cool visualization! Hearthstone sits right in the middle and is definitely my goto during boring conference calls. Just stimulating enough that I don't fall asleep but not so demanding that I can't carry on a conversation when needed.

I’m not surprised. The price caters to early adopters who see owning one as an affirmation of their identity and a status symbol. When it’s ready for mainstream, we’ll see mainstream pricing.

I watched this video with my 4 year old daughter. She was super excited about the pony game and kept pressing the mouse button whenever the pony jumped in the video (I had to reload the video 7 times).

I returned a console once, still in its factory sealed box. I was shocked when they cut it open to check the console was really there, but I guess this is why.
