They’re bringing back Skyrim, but the bad news is that they’re bringing it back as a team-based shooter with microtransactions that requires an internet connection to play.

yep

I actually thought it was Elder Scrolls VI at first and got an excitement boner. I went soft immediantly after I realized my mistake.

His character in The Jimquisition does. That’s kind of the schtick. The man himself, just judging from how he presents himself on his podcast, seems to be a pretty humble and sensible guy.

He HAS told them to knock it off. Repeatedly. In several of his videos. So yeah... good luck getting THAT charge to stick...

Oh are they? Well, my mistake then, apologies.

How does Jim encourage his followers to be horrible people? He’s actually on the record multiple times telling fans to not harass developers. I know trying to say both sides are equally wrong seems like the best route, but not always.

I also like the second part of that reflection, which many people seem to leave out for some reason:

There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Yes. Critics risk very little except their entire career with every thing they publicly review and criticize.

DH: “Fine! We’ll represent ourselves then! And look forward to hearing from our lawyer!”

Exactly. Seeing plenty of armchair laywers that “Oooh man, Jim is mean so it’s not a real criticism or review”.

Oh God, I think I just went cross-eyed.

“...part of the “cycle of cash flow that is the lifeblood of hardworking people in the indie community.””

Then, another mention of the ECC Games incident. When Sterling tweeted about the legal action apparently being taken by the Polish developer, he joked there was “not enough popcorn on Earth.” Digital Homicide writes that this was another false statement...

It’s crazy, because sterling actually PRAISED one of the digi-hom games (that third-person fantasy multiplayer RPG-ish shooter game a couple weeks ago).

This is what happens when Steam continues to allow itself to be used as a dumping ground for all kinds of shit.

“Digital Homicide is representing themselves in the lawsuit, and do not have an attorney.”

Oh my god I thought Digital Homicide was stupid before, BUT THEYRE REPRESENTING THEMSELVES. Im sure every lawyer they went to laughed at them. Aw man i hope jim documents this like gawker and hulk hogan.

I love this answer, because it is such a beautiful example of someone creating convoluted scenarios to fit their prescribed worldview when confronted with conflicting information. Spectacular.
