Not me. I'm going to Edition the Sport event! I mean I'll be Sporting my Edition edition! I mean ... oh, forget it, just take my money.

Save me, Jeebus!
Okay, I know this is a sponsored post, but ... "I avoided the dreaded airport bathrooms by using the airplane bathroom before landing!" said nobody, ever. Also? I avoided the Chicken Pox by dying of dysentery first!
<Whispers to self: don't feed the troll, don't feed the— argh, can't help it!> :)
This is the end of civilization as we know it ... and I so want to try it. :)
Yeah, I love my modern lifestyle, but I do kind of long for the days of hearing glass milk bottles clink together as they're left on my doorstep. :)
Everything.
I don't think you have to worry — there are two things here, and they make it confusing, but basically:
I'm really hoping to enjoy the Apple Watch ... but yeah, I already bitch at my Pebble for needing to be recharged once a week. Going down to a day means no sleep tracking, etc. I'll have to treat it much more like a cell phone than an old-style watch.
I've had surprisingly good luck with LED bulbs from Amazon. There are a number of sellers there who have both good products, and good prices. The best by far has been replacements for those fully-circular frosted 40W bathroom bulbs — sold in sets of three, they're about $5 each, and only 5W. Still more expensive…
I think maybe you meant to respond to someone else? Otherwise, um, good? Or something? :)
Well, admittedly, I'm pickier than average in a bunch of ways. Back in the days of the CRT monitors, I needed at least an 85 hertz refresh on the Viewsonics of the day, or I'd get a headache after 10 minutes (I loved my 100+ hz monitor that I had for a while). Many friends couldn't see a difference over 60, and…
When I'm 6-8 feet away from our 55-inch 1080p screen, I can definitely tell the difference between it and a 4k display — especially for anything computer generated, like the logo/bug of the station in the corner (why, oh why, are these things still grainy on my 1080p set in 2015?), or any of the interface stuff. …
I try my best to always keep this in mind when I'm talking to a rep on the phone, or standing at an airline counter, or whatever. The problem is that while I know it's not the fault of the employees standing there, the actual people responsible at the company have made themselves *incredibly* difficult to complain to…
While I totally want the 4k televisions to be better at upscaling the 720 content, that doesn't seem (yet) to be the case. Our 10-year-old Panasonic rear-projection "transition era" set was finally dying, to the point that it was going to be $300 or so to fix, and only about $700 to replace with a fairly nice…
What MrPendent says. Basically, any of the "E-Ink" or other e-paper displays use a system that doesn't require any power once the display is set. It's like flash memory: you set all the bits the way you want them (somewhat slowly compared to a traditional display), and then you can leave it alone until you need to…
That has driven me *crazy* over the last couple years — I'm basically standing there, credit card in (virtual) hand, looking to hand someone money. But no — like you mention, the movie won't be on any legal site, because there's some contract that says it must be shown on Starz Craptastic-Edited-Version-of-the-Week…
That certainly sounds like there's a lot of thought behind that — proper preparation beforehand can make up a bunch for issues that have already smacked us in the face!
I'm all for the people/corporations paying to fix the problems they're in — I used to live on the Southern California coast, where billionaires would build houses on the edge of a sea cliff, and then call for monetary help when storms started eroding their property. On the other hand, there are an awful lot of…
Certainly seems measured advice. That tends to be a long-term solution, though: it would imply (I think?) not to go to herculean measures for the existing coast, but rather to put that same money into a smart plan moving (literally) forward.
