The big problem is that Emmerich no longer makes big, dumb, fun movies. He just makes big, dumb movies.

We've lost Hoffman, but he's going to continue showing up in movies for another year and a half. Dark Knight and Dr. Parnassus both came out after Heath Ledger's death. James Gandolfini still has one more movie due out. Actors die in a weird sort of slow motion.
Honestly, I don't see it. He's a great actor but I prefer my Lex slick as hell. Someone you're secretly rooting for. Smallville sexy style, or at least with a ton of bravado like Gene Hackman, and a lot of sass. Someone who says "Superman let's make a deal" and you know he may actually have something supes wants, or…
It doesn't really bother me, since Singer said he wasn't really thinking about The Wolverine when he was making Days of Future Past, and the tail end of production of the former coincided with the pre production/beginning of production of the latter. Still, though— the movies and fiction made a biiiiiig deal of…
I looked further down this thread, saw the "the blade should have been like a lightsaber, with supernova heat" and suddenly it occurred to me— THEY WERE FIGHTING IN A NUCLEAR REACTOR. Motherfuckers could have written some bullshit about it powering a particle accelerator, connected the sword's hilt to a pipe connected…
I always hoped that the producers would have the brains to realize that what they are funding was absolute tripe, and then the Twilight series made millions and the rest is history.
Remember when everyone being in black leather was cool? We do...
DoFP is set both in the future and past, isn't the story that Kitty sends Wolverines consciousness back to before he even becomes Weapon X? Its not confusing at all... (kidding)
Easy. These are magnetic plates that are not affected by magnetic forces.
Well it's Snyder's movie, bu maybe Affleck will direct one of the ther ones?
We started with this idea that they were almost made up of magnetic plates slapped over one another, imagining that the plates could contract or grow, so the Sentinel can be skinny to get through a small space or the plates can open up to become a bigger shape. So they have become virtually unstoppable.
Except for the story where Magneto pulled the adamantium from his skeleton?
can't get over the bone claws that Wolverine has... didn't they say in one movie that once Adamantium is solid, it cannot be destroyed? Stupid movie, stupid plot bout taking his powers... yet another letdown.
I was expecting it to be an uncomfortable sit, but this movie has very little in the way of redeeming qualities. All the reviews warned that it would be completely different in tone from Drive, but the trailers made it look like a gem.
elysium - so much potential
elysium and its twin.. you know that one with Tom cruise, man those trailers looked so slick and modern, fast moving. They looked like great sci fi...
He denied it on Twitter, said he wants to try playing young Luke Skywalker.
Take this one with a grain of salt, though (I kid, I kid).
...and what looks like Michael Fassbender's Magneto helmet.
Thankfully Gad has already denied the FF rumours.
