Blade Runner should be higher up the list, at least above Wonder Woman and Logan. I loved both of those movies, but Blade Runner will likely age much better in the long-run, and it’s also one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, it’s not just a different take on the superhero genre like the others.

No one cares about your blog.

Firmly in “meh” territory where it belongs.

Now playing

I am very surprised that with all these comments, no one has even mentioned this guy from Misfits.

From some of these comments, this article should have come with this:

Let me give you an example. In ‘87, Huey released Fore!, the band’s most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is “Hip To Be Square” - a song so catchy, most people probably don’t even listen to the lyrics.... but they should, because it’s not just about the pleasures of conformity and the

I know! I mean, who doesn’t like Huey Lewis and the News?

Can we change the header image? Henry Cavill has nothing to do with this, and by all accounts so far, isn’t a creep like Berganza. Neither is the Superman character.

Cool stuff. For all of Snyder’s flaws he does have a keen eye for visual composition and style.

A Martha joke? really?

It would be tough to produce a SH film as plastic and contrived as The Avengers again.

“Here’s everything you need to know about it before you go see the movie.”

I like Batman v. Superman. At least the Director’s Cut. Maybe I’ll write that take sometime, and then get chased away with Bat-shaped chest brand-wielding Snyder haters.

I liked BvS and I don’t discuss it anymore. It really is a waste of time.

Right? For the last few years I’ve been convinced that the io9 commentariat existed mostly to hate the shit out of BvS LONG after it left theatres.

DON’T YOU DARE TALK BAD ABOUT MY BELOVED DEATH TROOPERS! That novel was the great kind of EU story. The kind that you just think the whole time “Someone signed off on this craziness?!”

I finally watched BvS two weeks ago and, well, I liked it. Sure, the Martha thing was dumb but otherwise I actually enjoyed the movie. I realize I will now be unfollowed on io9 and shunned by my peers but I can’t change how I feel.

I liked Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, in that I disliked the character and don’t think Luthor should be a likeable character. I liked that he wasn’t a physically imposing person, there’s no need for that in a human foe for Superman. Still probably not going to see it.

Quiet, you.

Got nothing on Atomic Knight Batman who had to put down his zombified parents as a child. It’s the best, most fucked up twist on the Batman mythology I’ve ever read, and its like a few panels of exposition total.

‘Cause Grant Morrison...
