I really like this trend at CES this year where there’s a physical/mechanical privacy shutter over the camera lens. It’s such a small thing but it’s also such a nice-to-have thing that I’m surprised manufacturers haven’t incorporated it sooner.

I’m a parent, and I want to be sympathetic to other parents who are frazzled, sleep deprived, and maybe new altogether to parenting. But for the life of me I cannot fathom forgetting about my child in the back seat. It just does not process in my head forgetting something, and someone, so important.

I have this completely unscientific and unsourced hypothesis in my head that my then-peers in elementary, middle, and high school who were just absolute jerks to teachers are now the same jerks today who think teachers are overpaid and are the reason why education in this country sucks .
