Ironically, I think the site is down.

Totally thought of the Megazord from Power Rangers.

You'd save energy by reducing the ship's coefficient of friction, but then would be expending energy to keep the ship's hull heated. Seems counter-productive, unless it's a huge amount of energy savings when applied on a large scale.

Had to do something while the PlayStation Network was down... :)

Call me when you get this one working.

I think of this as a way to apply the 3-2-1 rule of backup (3 backups, 2 different mediums, 1 off-site) - if you backup your data in multiple cloud services, the less likely you'll lose data if one of those services goes awry. It's probably unlikely that multiple services would go down simultaneously; of course,

I did something similar to this last weekend while camping in upper Michigan. I got a spotty 1-bar of Edge service on my iPhone 3G, so I shut off the 3G and WiFi radios.

I made the greatest glasses of all time.

This is one of those ideas that seem just so obvious in retrospect. I wouldn't put a knot in my more expensive headphones, but for a cheap pair of buds or the iPod pack-in headphones, this is a great idea.

I start with Kayak to get a baseline price, then I use Bing Travel for comparison and for the farecast feature. Bing Travel will recommend when to purchase (or when not to purchase!)
