I think the league is fine with losing a few defensive players if it means keeping marquee quarterbacks playing.

Is the solution going to be that defensive players have to not tackle quartebacks but just hit them hard and hope it is enough to make the quarteback fall in such a way that he will be down? This rule is such bullshit.

He moved his head to his left and out of the way as he hit Smith. Last week he extended his arm to soften the impact. Both were clean hits. 

You mean don’t tackle the qb? Even blandino, former head of officiating, said it was BS!

It’s amazing to see a sports league be able to actually improve its rules, as opposed to making them so muddled and crowded with terms that you can’t even figure out what a catch is.
