Public sector employees are governed by law. They have no other defenses against abuse besides quitting or unionization. Their pay is set by law; their job requirements are set by law. And the ones creating those laws are politicians who are not interested in what is best for everyone - they are interested in what

I genuinely do not understand those Polaris things at all.

Putting the deposit down now. Sure, mock me. But when the rising sea levels turn your apartments into human aquariums I’ll be hanging out with Kevin Costner and Mr. Limpet on the open seas enjoying a nice plate of fish with a side of fish fries and a tall glass of fish juice. SEA ya!

I did marry Chris! Over two years happy as clams now

The Avalon is a great, overlooked car.

Just wondering how he got to that party? Who invited him and did they know? Did birthday girl know he was coming and if so, why didn’t she tell him that her father is a raving lunatic Klansman? It already sounds like there was collusion to protect the son of the confederacy.

This is a terrible take. Yes the kid screwed up, but for a state law enforcement officer to not render aid, for other law enforcement officers to refuse to take reports that might hold one of their own under the light of justice in clear defiance of the oath of service each of them swore to uphold, that’s a vastly

I don’t think “sustainable” is the correct word here...

Yeah, but if you or I hit this kid and drove away- we’d probably spend the night in jail.

Man, I was all set for a gripe session about LA’s finest, until I watched the video that wasn’t included in this story.

To be fair, this M3 would have been handily outperformed by a cheaper-stickered C4, up to ten years its senior, when new. However, it would have been more comfortable and seat twice as many people. Given that either car is dubious solo transportation at this point, 19,500 is an amusing number in this context.

Hopefully no one disagrees with you (I don’t) - but to be clear, it’s WAY more noticeable in the Tesla I’m driving now.

At times and places America has been about pushing frontiers and boundaries at at other times it has been anti-science, anti-progress, puritanical and parochial. We swing both ways as a country. When we have a foreign enemy we seem to do better otherwise we eat ourselves.

For me some days it is about the poll as much as the car, and I am happy to say that it looks like a majority of people here recognize the early chrome bumper styling of the C3 Corvette, a big block, a four speed, and stock appearance are worth something.

A Pre-smog big block ‘vette convertible with a 4-speed and proper chrome bumpers? for under $40k?

2NM is amazing. If they can pull this off, it is a game changer.

Neutral: There are plenty of business travelers like myself, who drive more Nissans than we want to think about, in these comments. I’ve driven the Maxima and frankly I think it is a good car. It is powerful, satisfying to drive, and has properly comfortable seats. The electronics and their corresponding controls are

It sounds like “Misery” for a reason!

I may be looking at this wrong, but I’m fully vaccinated. I figure if I want to go to a crowded bar and eat and drink and be merry, I am more likely to die of food poisoning than Covid. Especially given that these places are so short staffed.

EDIT: There are 43 Bronco First Editions on Cars.com right now, so you really REALLY shouldn’t buy his.
