The Encore GX is one of the best small SUVs out there. I test drove quite a few of them, and anyone that bashes the GX doesn’t know what they’re talking about - at all.

As a current BMW owner, I can attest that I drive exactly the same as I did for the 9 years I drove a Honda Accord V6, except that now I am hyper aware of any time I make any sort of aggressive move I also made on the regular with the Honda.

Humans are humans. Distracted, tired, impaired, stupid, inexperienced, etc., etc. And yet still it’s extremely uncommon to have an accident.

That’s a ridiculous generalization. Humans by and large are extremely capable of driving safely - as shown every single day by the enormous amounts of miles driven without incident vs. the relatively tiny amount of incidents there are. Quite amazing considering the ability of many drivers.

I don’t like all-or-nothing conclusions regarding tech like this. Should self-driving cars ever be the ONLY mode of transport available? No. Should they currently be given complete free range? No. Yet are there situations where self driving cars could make perfect sense and be safe. Yes.
