Is it necessarily a mistake to make Hammond amiable? The idea that people with too much money need to be evil to fuck things up is, IMHO, a more dangerous notion.

The Tarantino comparison is interesting. Sexy Beast is both glaringly artificial in its technical execution, and completely sincere in its character dynamics. I’m not sure where I’m going with this, but that’s arguably the complete opposite of a Tarantino.

AFAIK, those accounts don’t exist. What does exist (once again) is references to Jesus in (relatively) contemporary documents and histories. Given that these accounts were written by people who a) didn’t like him and b) were rather contemptuous of him, they are considered reliable sources- or as close as we are going…
