Fun. Also kind of interesting to observe the incongruities created by the gender-swap... and now I’m thinking I’d like to see a pair of gender-swapped shaving ads.

Not me. I’m not sure I agree with you, but I get the point you’re making, and it’s a valid one. I’d say the valid counter-point is that, distracting or not, the correct words should be used or the debate can never progress. If that causes a few bumps in the journey, fine - at least we’re making the journey rather than…
An old, very obscure, Spectrum 128 game called “Blood Brothers”.
I suppose I’m sort of pleased, if only because we might get to find out whatever the fuck happened.
Lindsay Ellis has done a pretty good take-down of Bright:
Highly unlikely. Low fat content is probably the main reason (which explains why so many shark attacks take place in Florida - boom-tish!).
Well, they managed a fire at Sea Parks...
Presumably not Charlie Brooker’s Aural Contraceptive playlist?
I was willing to be sympathetic - trying to be an ‘edgy’ 16-year old and fucking it up is pretty much a human right, but digging a little deeper, that might be giving him far too much credit...
I’m in the UK, so we never got the ads afaik, but snatches of “We Like the Moon” still occasionally echo around the house at odd moments.
I know nothing of this man - does he always resemble cheap CGI?
If you were a kid, and you got Forky in your Happy Meal, would you be delighted or really, really pissed off?
For those who didn’t catch it at the time, here’s a nice cover of Glory Days from the AVClub’s glory days...
Me for one. Look, the vape companies may well be behaving unethically, but that doesn’t change the fact that vaping is healthier than smoking (on current evidence).
Alan Rickman in Truly, Madly, Deeply? (aka the good version of Ghost)
No. Boycott the hell out of them. Those out-of-pocket workers voted for these damn monsters (or enough of ‘em did) - consequences is a bitch.
So, now I’ve got to side with a rich white man, rather than a place of learning? Strange times, strange times...
Doh! You’re right; I’m an idiot.
As a parent, I’d rate Arkangel a lot lower. We’re not that insane, and it really needed more of a slippery slope for me to believe in the choices that the mother makes.
I puzzle over whether “Shut up...” is really what I’d call a happy ending. I mean, those “people” in the simulation seemed to be conscious entities, invoked into life, and made to suffer and struggle, BY A FUCKING DATING APP! How is that any better than the life for those on board the Callister?
