This was literally my exact reaction. He shifted from feigned sorrow to curiosity to cold calculation in the span of less than a second. It was absolutely masterful.

Yeah that was my favorite part too. So subtle. It'd be easy to miss that slight change in tone on first viewing.

I'm just glad to have show creators with dignity. I think the pull was heartfelt and classy. I'm looking forward to seeing the Molly Shannon subplot in the full episode that will surely be on the bluray.
